Bayern Munich are ready to step up their efforts to sign Amadou Onana from Everton as the Bundesliga club looks to add a defensive midfielder to its squad in the summer.
Onana, 22, has admirers in the Premier League after arriving at Goodison Park from Lille at the start of last season for £33 million, with Bayern ready to join the race for the Belgium international should he become available.
The German champions have been assessing the summer window with inquiries over which players could be on the market, with defensive midfielder an area they are looking to strengthen.

Onana wurde in Deutschland bei der TSG Hoffenheim ausgebildet und spielte auch beim Hamburger SV, ehe es ihn mit Umweg Lille zum FC Everton zog. Die Toffees müssen aufgrund des Financial Fairplay Einnahmen generieren und rechnen bereits mit einem Verkauf Onanas.

Habe schon damals im Büro zu meinen Bayern und BVB-Fans gesagt, kauft den - hat aber niemand hören wollen, nun kostet er eben statt 7 Mio (durch den Transfer nach Everton wurden es dann 12) ca. 70 Mio!
Würde mich für ihn freuen und auch für meinen HSV, der dadurch nochmal 4-5 Mio mitverdienen kann!
